LOOK: The Department of Social Sciences (DSS), through its Public Service Committee, met today, Sept. 28, the UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungod to discuss possible areas of collaboration and partnerships for community engagement and public service. The two units explored ways on how they can extend to different communities the public service initiatives of DSS under "Soksay sa Barangay, Barangay sa Soksay," its recently instituted umbrella public service program. Among its offerings for local government units are trainings on cultural mapping and psychological first-aid. Present in the meeting are DSS Chair Athenee Pacardo-Mercado, DSS Public Service Committee Chair Ruben Jeffrey Asuncion, and UPLB Pahinungod Director Jose Limbay Lahi Espaldon. Joining them are Asst.
