The UPLB Department of Social Sciences (DSS) congratulates Dr. Mark Oliver S. Llangco for his appointment as the new Chair of the UPLB Research Ethics Board (REB). Prior to this appointment, he was the Director of the UPLB General Education Program from March 2020 to January 2024 and Co-chair of REB. He remains the Co-chair of the DSS Research Ethics Committee. Dr. Llangco finished his BA Sociology (magna cum laude) from UPLB, and his graduate degrees in the United Kingdom (UK) – Master of Philosophy from the University of Birmingham, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Science Research Methods (with distinction) and Doctor of Philosophy from Cardiff University. He also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Liverpool (with distinction) and was granted the status of a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
