The UPLB Department of Social Sciences (DSS) welcomes Asst. Prof. Reidan M. Pawilen as its new Department Chair effective Feb. 1, 2024. Asst. Prof. Pawilen has been teaching at DSS since 2014. He earned his BA Social Sciences (Major in History, Minor in Political Science) from UP Baguio, and his MS Geography from UP Diliman, where he is also pursuing his PhD History. His researches focus on cultural and sports history, sports and legal geographies, and Indigenous Peoples Studies, among others. During the DSS Chair search process in December 2023, Asst.
